Singapore

Travelling solo.

I made it out alive. I'm out of Singapore.
It's weird that I chose Singapore. Why Singapore?

Because the public transportation service is dope, I could get from there to here. It's just one click and tap away. Of course, small country. Despite the currency exchange is like. I totally realize that it's not cheap.

But oh well, I guess I'm just too rich.

By the time I was at the TBS, I called my mom with bus ticket in my hand. She wasn't mad nor angry. That is shocking. This is YUGE. She was supposed to be angry.

It was not properly planned. I literally gamble myself to south. It turned out to be great though. (it wasn't so great, I had my reasons.)

I talked to a lot of strangers on the streets. It's great that I can talk to people, get to know them and their story.

That's how I met Mr. Khatib and Mrs. Ramlah.
This couple has thought me a lot of things. I learnt a lot from them. Then, Mr. Khatib asked me to join him for dinner. He introduced me to one of the famous Singapore murtabak in Bugis. We talked a lot. From personal to politics, politics to culture, and that's when the life lessons kicked in.

"If you still have your parents, please take care of them. Treat them nicely. They are everything to us. Their blessings are everything. If we don't get their blessings, then things are nothing."

"If you want to find a girlfriend (mataair), now is not the time. You should focus on your studies. Make a good living. If you love her, and if you guys are meant to be, it will be."

Thank you, Mr. Khatib for the dinner. May He bless you with prosperity and protected by Him.

Singaporeans are lovely.
I'm going back to central now.
